The Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper, Virat Kohli has finally joined the RCB squad for training ahead of the second phase of IPL 2021 following the completion of his quarantine in the UAE. He came to UAE after the suspension of the 5th and the final Test against England in the UK.
Tweeting a video in which Virat Kohli can be seen hitting the training nets ahead of the much-awaited season, RCB wrote, “Bold Diaries: Virat Kohli joins the RCB team after quarantine. There were smiles, hugs, and laughter in the RCB camp as captain Virat Kohli, Mohammed Siraj and some of our foreign players had their first hit in the nets.”

Virat Kohli, Mohammed Siraj, and a few other foreign cricketers completed their quarantine and were seen training in the nets ahead of the resumption of IPL 2021.

Kohli and Siraj had landed in Dubai on Sunday ahead of the second leg of IPL 2021. Kohli and Siraj left the UK after the fifth and the final Test between India and England at Old Trafford in Manchester was canceled due to a Covid outbreak in the Indian camp. However, all the players had returned negative tests.
Bangalore was standing t the third place on the points table behind Delhi Capitals (DC) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) before the IPL 2021 was postponed after several positive Covid cases were reported inside the bio-secure bubble. The tournament was then moved out of India as the BCCI decided that the remainder of the T20 league will be played in the UAE.

On Tuesday, the franchise announced that RCB players will be wearing blue jerseys to show solidarity and support to the frontline workers. RCB will begin their UAE leg of the tournament against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on September 20
