However, not a lot of fans remember that Virat Kohli has even kept wickets for the Indian team. During an ODI game between Bangladesh and India in 2015, he was seen keeping wickets for the first time. At that time, MS Dhoni was playing for the Indian team as a wicketkeeper-batsman.

Here is the video of the same:

Reportedly, MS Dhoni had to depart quickly for an over for a toilet break. Kohli served the role of an interim wicketkeeper. The incident took place at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium.

It was when Kohli was seen standing behind the wickets for the first time ever and stood behind the stumps. The Indian fast bowler, Umesh Yadav was bowling the 44th over as Kohli did his best to keep the wickets. Interestingly, Virat was standing far behind the stumps and didn’t put on pads, unlike full-time wicketkeepers.
