After defeating New Zealand in the 3-match ODI series by 2-1, the Indian cricketers are raring to go for the three-match T20I series against New Zealand that starts in Delhi on Wednesday. While most of the players are enjoying the 2-day break ahead of the training at the Ferozeshah Kotla on Tuesday, skipper Virat Kohli took the opportunity to finish some endorsement shoots.
In some stories posted on his Instagram account, Kohli has seen doing his workout and landing punches as well as part of the shoot.
Virat has created a great balance between his on and off the field activities. He has also moved back to the no.1 position among batsmen in the latest ICC ODI rankings.
The Delhi lad amassed 263 runs in the series against New Zealand including knocks of 121 in the first ODI in Mumbai and 113 in the final ODI in Kanpur.
Recently, even legendary batsman Sunil Gavaskar lavished praise on the Indian skipper and hailed his consistency as ‘phenomenal’. In an interview with NDTV, Gavaskar said: “Virat’s consistency with the bat is beyond phenomenal. Against New Zealand, there was no question of him being denied a hundred. He got denied against the Australians but remember he learned from that. He was not trying to run the ball to the third man (against New Zealand) like he got out against the Australians in two of the five matches.”
