Indian skipper Virat Kohli is all set to surpass AB de Villiers and Sourav Ganguly when he will take the field against New Zealand in the first ODI match in Mumbai.
Kohli will be the 14th Indian who represents India in over 200 One-Day International matches, which list is leading by great Sachin Tendulkar. Among the active players, only MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh and Suresh Raina have touched this feat.
So far, Kohli has notched up 8,767 runs so far in 199 ODI matches and scored 30 centuries, joint second most in this elite list. Thus, he has the highest runs at the stage of 200 matches in the ODI circuit, which was so far leading by AB de Villiers followed by Sourav Ganguly.
