The Indian skipper, Virat Kohli left his fans in utter shock during the practice match between India and Cricket Australia XI as he decided to roll his arm and bowl some medium pace deliveries. On Day 3 of the game, Virat bowled two overs and another five on the final day of the game. He just did not bowl but also picked up a big wicket of Harry Nielsen (100), who had become a headache for the visitors. Even Kohli’s reaction after picking up the dismissal was also a priceless one.
While his wicket drew limelight on day four, not many noticed that wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant was probably left surprised by watching Kohli with the ball as he went on to ask the skipper what he will be bowling. In a video, it can be clearly seen that the bowler indicates Rishabh that he will be bowling medium pace. Here is the video:-

Indian bowlers were looking in a bit of struggle in the practice game as they had to bowl 151.1 overs in order to get the 10 wickets of the hosts. In fact, Jasprit Bumrah, who didn’t step on the field for first three days, had to come out and he bowled seven deliveries to get the final wicket of Cricket Australia XI.
The struggles of the Indian bowlers are some serious concerns ahead of the Test series that starts on December 6. Ishant Sharma will be leading the pace attack which comprises Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, and Umesh Yadav.

Bumrah and Ishant seem to be an automatic selection. The choice for the third pacer will be between Shami, Umesh, and Bhuvneshwar. Shami has an edge over other two but Umesh’s 10-wicket haul in his previous Test is too heavy to be ignored.
As reckoned by few former cricketers, Bhuvneshwar might have to wait for his chance and he is not expected to feature in the playing XI at least in the first Test of the series.
