Currently, the Indian cricket team is in the West Indies for a two-match Test series. In the first Test, India showcased their dominance, securing a resounding victory by an innings and 141 runs. Debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal and captain Rohit Sharma both scored centuries, while Kohli contributed 76 runs.

Earlier this year, Virat Kohli enjoyed a remarkable start to the year, continuing his exceptional batting form and adding to his tally of international centuries, which now stands at 75. He also had a productive season in the Indian Premier League (IPL). However, despite Kohli and captain Faf du Plessis amassing runs for Royal Challengers Bangalore, the team failed to qualify for the playoffs.

In the IPL, Virat Kohli amassed 639 runs from 14 matches, including two centuries and six half-centuries. Nevertheless, Kohli faced disappointment in the World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia, where he contributed 63 runs across the two innings as India suffered a devastating defeat.

During the West Indies tour, India is scheduled to play three ODIs and five T20Is in addition to the ongoing Test matches. Kohli and the Indian team aim to continue their impressive performances and secure success in the upcoming limited-overs fixtures.
