The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper, Virat Kohli has always been known for being one of teh most aggressive players on teh field and he never shies away from giving it back to the opposition. As RCB pulled off their third consecutive win in the IPL 2021, Kohli took a dig at the Punjab Kings (PBKS), whom his team defeated in a close game in Sharjah on Sunday, October 3.
The dig which Virat Kohli took was a reference to an incident that happened in the first leg of the tournament that took place in India. After winning in a game in Ahmedabad against RCB, Punjab Kings’ social media team had tweeted a picture featuring the dugout of RCB, which wasn’t in the happiest mood at the time.

As a caption, they wrote, “Yahan pe sab Shanti Shanti hai,” which translates to “Everything is so quiet here.” The RCB social media team had taken it very lightly, replying back to the tweet saying, “Because we neither go overboard when we win nor over-analyze a loss.” However, the RCB fans on social media didn’t like the post and the PBKS was immensely criticized by the fans on social media. They eventually deleted the post.
Now, coming back to what happened in the second leg of the IPL 2021. After winning the match, Virat Kohli was in the dressing room and the footage was being recorded by the social media team of RCB. Kohli was speaking to someone in the background and he was heard saying that it was good to see the letter ‘Q’ (which stands for qualified to the playoffs) on the side of their name. While walking outside the dressing room, he said, “Bahut Shanti hai aaj’ which means “It’s very peaceful today”.
