In the last couple of matches, the intent of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batting has been the talk of the town at the moment in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). After defending their approach in the 217-run chase against the Royals, CSK against failed to chase down 176 runs against the Delhi Capitals (DC) and lost the game by 44 runs.
The top-order, apart from Faf du Plessis, is misfiring while even Ruturaj Gaikwad and Kedar Jadhav have been disappointing disappointed in the middle-order. MS Dhoni not batting up the order is another concern for the experts. The way the CSK approached the 176-run chase against DC raised a lot of concerns as they were hardly playing any shot when the runs were hard to come by.

While a lot of experts criticized them, former Indian opener, Virender Sehwag came up with a tweet taking a dig at the CSK batsmen. He wrote that the Men in Yellow should have glucose and come out to bat to play some shots. Tweeting about the same, Sehwag wrote: “Chennai ke batsman simply not getting going. Glucose chadwaake aana padega next match se batting karne”.

However, the fans are not at all pleased with Sehwag for his tweet. They have responded to him in replies taking a hilarious dig at his footwork. Some of them also asserted that CSK will be making a strong comeback and manage to win the season.

Under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, CSK will now enjoy a six-day break which will give them time to reflect upon themselves with their next match to be played on October 2 against the SRH. Their top players, Dwayne Bravo and Ambati Rayudu will be expected to make a comeback for that match. Even Imran Tahir might make his comeback given the way Piyush Chawla has performed so far in the three matches.
