The Indian all-rounder Washington Sundar will be missing the national squad for some more time now as he has been ruled out of the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe. The all-rounder had earned a place back in Team India after performing brilliantly in the domestic tournament of England. Sundar was last seen playing for the Indian team in February 2021. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed has been named as the replacement for injured Washington.
As per the reports of PTI, an anonymous BCCI source said that Washington Sundar would not be a part of the upcoming series against Zimbabwe. The 22-year-old suffered a left shoulder injury during a 50-over game for his county side Lancashire and will now undergo rehabilitation at the NCA in Bengaluru.

In the year 2021, during the practice match being played between India and County team, his finger was hurt, due to which he had to be out of the team for many months. After this, he returned to the cricket field through the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
