Wasim Akram Applauds Ruturaj Gaikwad’s Bright Future in Cricket

Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram praised Ruturaj Gaikwad of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), acknowledging the 26-year-old’s bright future in cricket. Gaikwad had a successful IPL season, accumulating 590 runs. In the IPL 2023 final against the Gujarat Titans, Gaikwad contributed a quickfire 26 runs, providing CSK with a solid start in their chase for victory.

His IPL career includes 14 half-centuries and a century, with an average of 39.07 and a strike rate of 135.52.

However, Gaikwad will miss the opportunity to be part of the Indian squad for the World Test Championship final as he has been replaced by Yashasvi Jaiswal as a standby player.
