The Indian cricket team is currently facing England in the fourth Test of the five-match series at The Ageas Bowl in Southampton. After allowing the hosts to reach the score of 246 on Day 1, India barely managed to get meager first innings lead of 27 runs and at the end of day 2, England was still trailing by 21 runs. Despite having a little assistance for the fast bowler on Day 3 morning, the English team was down to 33/2 before the first hour of play, thanks to the brilliant slip catching by KL Rahul.
England’s openers Alastair Cook and Keaton Jennings were doing a fair amount of job before the dismissal of the former on the very first delivery of the thirteenth over of the match. Cook, who has been struggling all through the series so far has once again failed to contribute much for his team.

Cook was looking desperate for runs since morning and it was the worst ball for a batsman of having such mindset as it was full and wide outside off. He attempted a flamboyant drive and the ball nipped away enough to take the outside only to reach the hands of Rahul at second slip, who failed to grab the ball in his first two attempts. However, in his third attempt, KL looked solid and didn’t let the ball go away which meant that Cook left for the dressing room with his team still trailing at that point in time as England was t 24/1.
KL Rahul’s second catch to dismissal Moeen Ali in the 16th over was again a bumpy one, but again he came victorious there. Ishant Sharma was bowling round the stump to Ali and this was a ripper as he pitched it up on the middle and Ali, whose feet were unmoved had to reach the ball which squared him up only with his hands as he tried to push the ball forward and offered the edged. The umpires come together and decided to consult with the TV umpire and gave the soft signal as out. The replays showed that it was clean grab by K Rahul as the third umpire, Joel Wilson said that he was happy that fingers are under the ball and Ali had to take a long walk back to the pavilion.
