Team India is currently locking horns with their arch-rivals in the ongoing Asia Cup in the third game of the super four stage. However, the 15th over of the match bowled by Kuldeep Yadav became interesting as the Pakistani opener Fakhar Zaman was dismissed LBW on the third bowl of the over as the batsman slipped while playing a sweep shot as they scored boundary on the previous ball with the same shot.
Earlier, Pakistan skipper decided to bat first after winning the toss and revealed that they have made two changes in the squad as Mohammad Amir and Shadab Khan was back in place of Haris Sohail and Usman Khan. On the other hand, Rohit decided to go with the same XI.
In the second ball of the over, Zaman read the line of the bowl and got the freedom to swing and pulled out a slog sweep for a boundary. However, on the very next ball, he was sprawled all over the pitch and was dismissed lbw! Fakhar lost his balance as he strides out, tempted by yet another loopy full-length ball from Kuldeep.

Zaman’s studs on his front foot slipped and he takes a proper tumble and more or less falls on top of the ball. All in front of middle and leg stump – which gives umpire Tucker the leeway to get that forefinger up. Replays, by the way, indicate Fakhar managed a glove on the ball before it hit his body and had he reviewed, he might have saved himself.

Twitterati was all over Zaman for a poor decision while some also thrashed him for playing extremely slow which put his team under pressure. Here are some of the reactions:
Terrible. The moment I saw Fakhar Zaman slipping while trying to sweep, I saw the ball hitting the glove. Not taking the review was just stupid!

What a peculiar last few minutes! Babar Azam must be gutted with his part in two dismissals. Had to take a call on the review and gave it away with the run-out.
