Currently, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) are in the search of their second win of the ongoing 12th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. After winning the toss, the KKR skipper, Dinesh Karthik decided to bowl first citing the windy condition in Jaipur. However, the hosts had a bad start, as they lost their skipper, Ajinkya Rahane in the second over of the game itself.

During the toss, RR skipper revealed that they have made two changes to their squad as Stuart Binny and Varun Aaron made way for Prashant Chopra and Sudhesan Midhun. On the other hand, KKR made just one change as Lockie Ferguson made way for the debutant Harry Gurney.

After the dismissal of Rahane. Steve Smith and Jos Buttler added 72 runs for the second wicket before the latter getting out in the 12 over to Gurney. However, they started very slow as they scored just 28 runs in the powerplay.

On the fourth ball of the 12th over, Gurney delivered a slower short ball ending in Buttler’s bodyline, but the batsman was just too good to smash it over the square leg boundary for a six. It was a tough shot off the back foot on such a sluggish surface as he put everything into the shot.

On the very next ball, Gurney bowled another slower ball, which was dipping at a length on off stump. Buttler lined himself up and slogged it across the line, but Shubman Gill was as the boundary, who took a catch inches from the boundary.
