Pakistan and Zimbabwe locked horns in the two-match Test series, which Pakistan won comfortably. They won the second Test by a huge margin of an innings and 147 runs and completed a 2-0 whitewash of their opponents.
Meanwhile, Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali was involved in a fiery contest with Zimbabwe batsman Luke Jongwe on the third day of the second Test. Hasan first made a funny face while making his runup to bowl. It left everyone in splits. He, then, chirped some words after bowling a good length delivery outside off.

Jongwe didn’t shy away and smacked a cracking boundary on the following ball. Hasan Ali got riled up by approached towards batsman as they were seen in a heated argument. The umpire intervenes and stopped both players from an unnecessary argument.

Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first in Harare. Abid Ali and Azhar Ali shared a mammoth 236-run partnership for the second wicket. Azhar got out after scoring 126 runs but Abid was unstoppable. He remained unbeaten on 215 and scored his highest score in Test cricket. Nauman Ali came as a surprise package on number nine as he played his career-best 97 runs. Pakistan declared at 510/8.

Then it was Pakistani pacers’ turn to run riot. Zimbabwe’s batting line-up crumbled for 132 runs and were forced to follow on. Their batsmen showed some resistance in the second innings but a massive collapse didn’t help the cause. Shaheen Afridi and Nauman Ali grabbed five wickets each in the second innings to limit Zimbabwe’s total to 231.
Hasan Ali shone with the ball in the first innings with a five-for. It was his fiery spell that allowed his team to make early inroads. He got adjudged Man of the series while Abid Ali’s double ton earned him a player of the match award.
