After taking an unassailable 2-0 lead in the ongoing three-match T20I series against the Windies, Team India is looking to whitewash was the series at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. After winning the toss, the Windies skipper, Carlos Brathwaite decided to bat first keeping the slow nature of the pitch in mind. However, Carlos’ decision was justified as they reached the total of 181/3 in their quota of overs. However, Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma made two changes in the squad with Yuzvendra Chahal and Washington Sundar replacing Jsprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav.
Coming into the chase, the men in blue were reduced to 51/2 after the powerplay of 6 overs as they lost Rohit and KL Rahul quite cheaply. However, Shikhar Dhawan and Rishabh Pant stiched a 100+ runs partnership for the third wicket, but Pant was dismissed in the penultimate over of the match with India needing 7 runs off 9 deliveries, but situation went tricky when India needed one off the last ball of the match.

Here is the description of the last three balls of the match:
4th ball – Fabian Allen was bowling the final over and scorers were level after the first three ball and Dhawan couldn’t manage to score on the 4th ball as he played the ball straight to square leg.
5th ball – Surprisingly, Shikhar clubbed the ball of Allen straight to long-on where Kieron Pollard was standing. It was a brilliant knock from Shikhar, but that was one of the shots which could’ve haunted him. Before the final delivery, four infielders were on the leg side, close along with Long-off in and Point and short third. Karthik has come running out to big applause from his home crowd, but it will be Manish Pandey on strike
6th ball – Allen bowled a length ball to Pandey and the batsmen ran through as Fabianmisfielded the ball in hurry. Manish tapped the ball gently towards mid-on and Allen does superbly to lunge and get across to his right. DK has long begun running and is halfway down the pitch as Allen gets a hand on it. But he only dodges it past Shimron Hetmyer, who is running in towards Allen and therefore won’t be around to cover. Allen was desolated, his team-mates console him and India completed a series whitewash over the Windies.
