Team India is currently locking horns with the Windies for the first ODI of the ongoing five-match series in Guwahati. After winning the toss, the Indian skipper decided to bowl first and they have also handed a debut cap to the young Rishabh Pant. Even after very long the men in blue entered the field with three specialist fast bowlers in the XI with Khaleel Ahmed, Mohammed Shami, and Umesh Yadav’s inclusion, while Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravindra Jadeja were the two spinners.
Windies got a decent start but lost wickets in regular intervals as they, as they had lost four wickets at the end of 22 overs, bowled by Mohammed Shami. On the third bowl of the over, Shami bowled a short bowl on the leg stump to Shimron Hetmyer, who went on to score a century but the batsman gloved it to the right of MS Dhoni and the batsmen got a chance for a single. However, what transpired on the next ball changed the fortunes for the visitors.
On the next ball of the over, Shami bowled another short ball outside off, and Shai Hope tries to break the shackles with a pull shot. But he merely top-edges that shot, and Shami’s extra pace has forced the batsman to walk back to the pavilion. The bowl was in the air for a while, and Dhoni skips to his left to complete the easiest of catches.
