In the process, Rohit raised his slowest fifty off145 balls in Test cricket. When he was approaching his century, Rohit shifted gears and started playing aggressive shots.

He raised his hundred by hitting Moeen Ali over the long-on boundary for a six. The whole Indian contingent stood up and applauded what has been a terrific innings so far by the hitman.
