The former India cricketer’s birthday saw a legendary cricketer send a wish to him and then he also celebrated Kambli’s birthday by cutting a cake with the Mumbai cricketer.

Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar wished his childhood friend Kambli on his birthday. The Master Blaster’s wish was special for the cricketer because both began playing cricket together and both were friends since then. But that relation between the best of friends got a bit bitter when Vinod was dropped from the Indian cricket team in the final decade of last century.

Kambli was always the classic larrikin, with his golden earrings, funky haircuts (although the pate is now bald) and lavish lifestyle. Maybe Kambli was ahead of his time because he might have suited in nicely in the tolerant surpluses of the Indian Premier League now.

Currently, it seems that everything is right back on the track with both sharing greetings and wishes. Sachin posted a message on his Twitter and Instagram handles for Kambli, wishing him long life. He tweeted, “Tum jiyo hazaaron saal aur saal ke din ho hazaar. Wishing you a very happy birthday, @vinodkambli2016″.

Later, Kambli posted a video of him celebrating his birthday with Tendulkar and other friends at MCA.

Kambli’s career lasted for over 10 years for India but he is considered one of the most talented cricketer. He has the highest batting average for any Indian cricketer in Test cricket with minimum 1000 runs. In his short career of 17 Test matches, Kambli had four centuries out of which two he converted into the double as well.
