Currently, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are battling it out with Delhi Capitals (DC) at the ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam to become the second finalist of the 12th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). After winning the toss, the CSK skipper, MS Dhoni decided to bowl first and soon CSK dismissed both the DC openers inside the powerplay itself.

During the toss, the DC skipper, Shreyas Oyer revealed that they have made no changes to their as they wanted to continue with the winning squad. On the other hand, the CSK also made just one change as Shardul Thakur came back in to replace Murali Vijay.

The men in yellow got the prized wicket of Prithvi Shaw in the third over bowled by Deepak Chahar owing to the brilliant DRS call by Dhoni. In the previous over of SHardul Tahir, Shikhar Dhawan had smashed as many as 13 runs. DC lost the plot after that as they kept on losing wickets on a regular basis as from 37/2 after the powerplay, Delhi was reduced to 80/5. After that, Rishabh Pant was making a partnership with Sherfane Rutheford, but the latter got out in the 16th over of Harbhajan Singh.

In the very next over, Dhoni uncharacteristically lost his cool when Chahar made a mess of Pant’s simple catch. Pant mistimed a heave off Imran Tahir’s bowling towards long-off where Chahar completed the catch but couldn’t control his momentum and stepped on the boundary ropes. As umpire gave it a six, Dhoni was visibly looking pissed as he straightaway called Chahar inside the circle. Even Tahir has started his celebratory run and looked very unhappy with Chahar’s casual effort.
