Hit wickets can be very embarrassing

One such incident of hit wicket took place during a warm-up game between National Performance Squads (NPS) and Victoria in Australia. the southpaw batsman Jake Weatherland, playing for NPS, tried to play a cover drive against a left-arm pacer but didn’t get the timing right. The ball went a few meters ahead after making a contact with the bat. However, what followed next was something which Weatherland can hardly ever forget.

After playing the shot, Jake failed to keep the hold of his bat and it slipped from his hands before falling onto the stumps. As he looked back to see where the bat is going, it had already hit the stumps and removed the bails.
