Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians have the fiercest rivalry in the history of the Indian Premier League. Both teams will again lock horns against each other in the 27th game of the Indian Premier League 2021. While CSK is sitting at the top of the points table going into this game, MI are placed fourth.
Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bowl first in Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium. Trent Boult gave CSK an early jolt by dismissing Ruturaj Gaikwad, who has been in a good form for the last few games. However, nothing went in MI’s favour from this point onwards.

Bolt was bowling well in the powerplay and didn’t allow CSK batsmen to score freely. However, when he conceded a boundary due to poor fielding by Krunal Pandya, Boult looked upset and expressed his frustration.

Moeen Ali got out after scoring 58 runs. Du Plessis followed him after his personal fifty. When MI were looking to come back in this game, Ambati Rayudu came at the crease. He went absolutely berserk and smashed MI bowlers to all corners of the park. Rayudu notched up his fifty in just 20 balls – the second quickest of the season after Prithvi Shaw’s 18-ball effort.

Rayudu remained unbeaten for 72 runs, which came in just 27 balls. His swashbuckling innings featured four fours and seven huge sixes. He formed a 102-run partnership with Ravindra Jadeja in 49 balls. This carnage took CSK’s total to 218/4 in 20 overs and left MI with a lot of ground to cover.
