The Indian cricket team is scheduled to leave for England on the early morning of 22nd of May 2019. However, on Tuesday, the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli, and head coach, Ravi Shastri addressed the media person before leaving for the World Cup in England.
Just a few hours before the press conference, the Indian fielding coach R Sridhar shared a picture of him along with Ravi Shastri and bowling coach Bharat Arun seeking divine blessings from Shirdi Saibaba.

Just a few days ago, the Indian all-rounder, Kedar Jadhav was to play in the much-awaited tournament. According to the reports, he underwent a fitness test on Thursday morning and has been given the green light to play by the BCCI.

During the last league match for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) of the Indian Premier League (IPL) against the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), Jadhav injured his left shoulder and had been a doubt for the World Cup. He had sustained the injury while attempting to save an overthrow from Ravindra Jadeja in the 14th over against Punjab in Mohali. In acute pain, Kedar was seen walking off the field.
During the press conference, Shastri said MS Dhoni will play a crucial role in India‘s bid to regain the ICC World Cup 2019, citing his ability to influence the game’s little moments. While Kohli termed it as the most challenging World Cup as none of the teams can be termed as minnows and the format has also been changed.
India’s lethal bowling attack, comprising of Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami among others, is quite balanced and has been one of the most potent in the recent years.
