Their most of the game on the back of a strong performance from their captain MS Dhoni; who recently won the 100 IPL games as captain. However, he has been suffering from a back issue for quite some time now. He wants to recover from it totally as soon as possible as the ICC World Cup is around the corner and Dhoni is one of the most important members of the squad. He shared that there had been some stiffness in his back, but as of now, that is holding up.
“The back is holding up, it’s not getting worse, with the World Cup coming up, can’t afford that, because that’s too important,” Dhoni said at the post-match presentation after a six-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad on Tuesday.
“If it becomes worse, I certainly take some time off but at this level, you play with some niggle or the other. Because if you wait to get fully fit, then there will be a gap of five years between two matches,” the former India captain further added.
