Recently she has made more shocking revelations about his husband that she was suffering from domestic violence from Shami and his family. She earlier said that last December in Uttar Pradesh she was pushed into a room with Shami’s elder brother who sexually harassed her. Under such complaints, Shami was suffering from a complaint and under charges of a murder attempt, rape under Section 41A of CrPC and investigation started off.

Shami, on the other hand, turned down all allegations. He also met with a road accident and was admitted to the hospital. Hasin Jahan went to meet his husband but Shami refused to meet her.

“I had come to see Mohammed Shami as he was injured, but he refused to meet me. He threatened me and said ‘I will see you in court now,” Jahan said to ANI, “He (Mohammed Shami) met and played with our daughter, but he did not acknowledge me, his mother was acting like a bodyguard.”

Finally, she filed a complaint of domestic violence and other allegations on Kolkata Alipore High Court. Investigations are to start soon. Shami presently has been included in the Delhi Daredevils squad and also got a grade B contract from BCCI.

Shami’s wife seems not interested in listening to any of Shami’s family’s request to turn down such complaints. She feels this is her time to stand up.

“I had informed each one of them about the torture Shami was inflicting on me. But none of them did anything, and instead, they urged me to adjust as I was a woman. Why should I listen to them now?” she said.

Police have already been to Shami’s village at Amroha and have spoken to his neighbors and some relatives but didn’t question Shami. Talking about the same, lawyer said, “This case is different from the one we had filed before the police. Shami had not paid a single penny to Jahan since she had raised the issue. He had given her an INR 1 lakh cheque that later bounced. Now she has no money to pay for the monthly expenses.”

The lawyer further added, “The lawyer even told before the court that Shami earns around Rs 100 crore per year and hence it would not be a problem for him to part with the money. It is his duty to take care of the family and pay for the wife and child’s expenses. Hence we demanded the money — INR 7 lakh per month for Jahan and INR 3 lakh per month for the child.”
