The ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 is around the corner and the cricket pundits have named India and England favorites to lift the Cup. There are several other teams as well who can turn out as a dark horse but these two teams look to have the powers to go all the way. England has the advantage of playing in the home conditions while India has a talented team to lift the trophy.
Team India was looking all prepared for the World Cup until they hit into an inspired Australian team, who beat India in their own den by 3-2.
India had the advantage of being 2-0 up in the series and they went for some experiments in the team, which proved costly and questions rose on the balance of the team.

Meanwhile, former Indian skipper Rahul Dravid sees this series loss as an eye-opener to the team and feels it will give India a chance to learn from their mistakes before the tournament.
“I think there was a bit of notion that we are going walk there and win the World Cup easily. So it’s a good thing that has happened. What it has (the outcome against Australia) has reminded us is that we have to play the World Cup very, very well,” Dravid was quoted saying in India Today.
“India has performed well in the last couple of years. There was a little bit of talk that we are almost going to walk in there and win the World Cup very easily because we are the No. 1 team and we have been dominating one-day cricket for the last couple of years,” he added.

However, Dravid didn’t dismiss Team India’s chances at the World Cup and said they have the potential to go all the way to lift the trophy at Lord’s on July 14.
“But I don’t find anything strange, from my perspective, watching the series. I still feel that we are going to be one of the favorites. But it’s going to be tough. It’s going to be competitive,” concluded Dravid.
The World Cup will go underway from May 30 with the opening game is scheduled between host England and South Africa, against whom India will open their campaign on June 5 in Southampton.
