The auction of the inaugural Women’s Premier League 2023 took place in Mumbai on February 13. UP Warriorz acquired the service of India all-rounder Deepti Sharma for a whopping price of 2.6 Crore.
The inaugural edition of the WPL will take place in Mumbai from 4 March to 26 March. As many as 22 matches will be played, with the Brabourne Stadium and D.Y. Patil Stadium playing hosts to the mega tournament comprising Gujarat Giants, UP Warriors, Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
