As India shifts its focus from the recently concluded Indian Premier League 2023, preparations for the highly anticipated World Test Championship 2023 final against Australia are now in full swing. The Indian players who participated in the IPL final will soon join the training camp in the UK to begin their rigorous preparations for the upcoming clash at The Oval, commencing on June 7.

One notable addition to the Indian squad is young talent Yashasvi Jaiswal. Initially included as one of the three standby players after Ruturaj Gaikwad’s withdrawal due to his wedding, Jaiswal has now joined the team in the UK. On May 31, the International Cricket Council (ICC) shared a video capturing Jaiswal’s first training session with the Indian team.

The 21-year-old showcased his skills in the nets, impressive with his batting prowess. He received valuable tips from Ravichandran Ashwin and former Indian captain Virat Kohli, further honing his techniques.

India, who reached the WTC final for the second consecutive time, will be seeking redemption after their loss to New Zealand in the inaugural edition. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a training video highlighting the Indian contingent’s dedication during the net session. Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Rohit Sharma focused on refining their batting skills, while Shardul Thakur, Ashwin, and other bowlers commenced their training regime.
