Ananya Pandey, intrigued by his calm and composed approach, expressed her admiration for his mental strength. “I wish I could be like you. Mujhe bhi nahi sochna hai (I also do not want to think),” she said, reflecting on how difficult it is to ignore negativity in her own life.

Yashasvi Jaiswal continued, “Toh main bas ye koshish karta hun ki kya mere control mein hai, mein kya kar sakta hun, mein apne upar focus kar sakta hun, apne dimag pe kaam kar sakta hun. Mera saara focus ek hi cheez pe rahta hai, ki mujhe kya karna hai. (I try to focus on what’s within my control, what I can do, and work on my mindset. My entire focus is on one thing — what I need to do.)”

Jaiswal’s approach to life, with both feet on the ground, is a reflection of his mental strength; he is surely well-equipped to succeed in his early years. So far he has scored 1798 runs in 19 Tests, averaging 52.88, and 723 runs in T20 internationals at an average of 36.15.
