Among the remarkable tattoos adorning Yashasvi Jaiswal’s body is the ’16-10-2019′ tattoo, which holds immense significance for the Mumbai-based cricketer. It represents one of the most special days in his cricketing life, when he played a remarkable knock in the domestic circuit.

On October 16, 2019, Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed an extraordinary double hundred in a Vijay Hazare Trophy match against Jharkhand. Notably, this innings made him the youngest player in the world to achieve a double hundred in 50-over cricket, including List A and ODIs.

The double century was a defining moment in Jaiswal’s career, instilling him with the confidence that he belonged among the best in the world. To honor this significant achievement, he decided to get the ’16-10-2019′ tattoo imprinted on his body.

During that memorable match, the 17-year-old batting prodigy crafted an exquisite 203 runs off just 154 deliveries, featuring 12 sixes and 17 fours. His heroic knock powered the Mumbai side to a colossal total of 358-3 against Jharkhand in a Vijay Hazare Trophy Elite Group A clash at Alur, Bengaluru.

By achieving this feat at the tender age of 17 years and 292 days, Yashasvi Jaiswal broke the longstanding record for the youngest player to score a double hundred in List A cricket. The previous record was held by Alan Barrow, who achieved a double century at the age of 20 years and 273 days during South Africa’s domestic cricket in 1975.

Aside from the ’16-10-2019′ tattoo, Jaiswal has also imprinted the words ‘believe’ and ‘trust’ on his body, reflecting his positive mindset and determination. Additionally, he has adorned his stomach with crucial dates of his cricketing journey, encompassing the debut dates for IPL, Ranji Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy, and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Recently, Yashasvi Jaiswal showcased his outstanding form during the IPL 2023 season for Rajasthan Royals and subsequently made his Test debut against West Indies on July 12. On his Test debut, he left an indelible mark by scoring an impressive century, amassing 171 runs against the West Indies bowling lineup.

Carrying forward his form, the young batter also notched a crucial fifty in the second Test, solidifying his position as a key player for the Indian cricket team.
