In one of his old interviews, Yograj Singh has seen talking about the Dera guru. One of the so called saint Dera gurus was arrested a few days back after he found guilty of his charges of rapes.

Yograj Singh, the father of the flamboyant southpaw Yuvraj Singh, has always voiced his opinion against the Dera gurus. He even went on to miss his son’s wedding on November 30 at dera in Fatehgarh Sahib in Punjab.

During an interview with ETV, Yograj asserted that Dera Gurus use cursing and have a very different attitude, which is very rare. He doesn’t like their way of talking.

It is not the first time former Indian cricketer has slammed Dera Guru. He was also against Hazel Keech’s changed name i.e. Gurbasant Kaur as advised by the Guru who conducted Yuvraj and Hazel’s wedding.

According to the reports of Topyaps, Yograj said, “I am surprised to see that literate people are running after these saints who look after deras. I should not speak of others, as my own family is involved in it. I taught Yuvraj how to play cricket for 16 years. He hasn’t ever given me a kurta and he has given several cars in the dera.”

Yuvraj’s father also revealed in his interview that Dera Guru even asked him to do a puja instead of getting a treatment from a doctor when Yuvraj suffered cancer.
