Indian all-rounder Yusuf Pathan got some off-spin tricks from the legendary Sri Lankan off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan. Yusuf Pathan will play first time for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in IPL 2018 where the Sri Lankan legend has the responsibility of bowling coach.
According to the Sportstar, Muralitharan showed some off-spin tricks during their animated discussions in the middle of the pitch at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium (Hyderabad) on Monday.
At the end of the warm-up session, Muralitharan’s younger son was seen to bowl and surprisingly his action, run-up, grip were very similar to his father.
Meanwhile, Due to the heavy rains for the few past days, the team had optional indoor practice on Sunday.

In the 2018 IPL Auction, 35-years old Yusuf Pathan was bought by SRH for INR 1.9 crore. The all-rounder is one of the most experienced cricketers in IPL history who has played total 149 matches in the tournament history where he has scored 2,904 runs and taken 41 wickets. Pathan has played the joint-most number of IPL matches as a non-captain (149 matches, same as Robin Uthappa).
After playing first three seasons for Rajasthan Royals (2008-2010), Pathan played for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in last seven seasons (2011-2017). During his IPL career, Rajasthan Royals (2008) won once and KKR won twice (2012 and 2014) the IPL tournament.
On the other hand, 2016 IPL winner SRH has got their new IPL captain Kane Williamson. 2016 IPL winner captain David Warner has been suspended for the upcoming IPL season due to the involvement in the ball-tampering scandal. Cricket Australia (CA) has suspended him for one year from the international and domestic cricket and that forced IPL to take the suspension decision.

Under the new leadership of Kane Williamson, SRH will begin their IPL 2018 journey on April 9 against Rajasthan Royals, at the home venue on Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.
