In India, most sports fans love only cricket, but the commencement of the Tokyo Olympics 2020 has attracted a lot of fans toward the athletes as well. Being a part of a mega event like that of the Olympics is a moment of extreme pride for any player. Considering the audacity of it, the former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has was seen appreciating the Indian athletes in the Olympics.

Stacking against all odds and representing the country in the Olympics is a big achievement for any athlete. The cricketing fraternity along with many around the country have been cheering for the Indian contingent at the Olympics. Yuvraj Singh thus praised the Indian contingent stating that they are amongst the best and the whole country is hoping for them to do well.

During a recent chat with Hindustan times, Yuvraj Singh said, “India needs more sportspeople to put us on the world map with mega wins and participate in international sporting events such as Olympics, which is considered the pinnacle for sports. Just your participation means that you are among the best, and such people deserve every acclaim, honor, and endowment.”

With the help of a good system in place, more athletes will be able to produce desired results for the country. With the view of providing the best help to the athletes, Yuvraj Singh went on to announce that they will be providing free healthcare and 10 years of free health service for all the 120 athletes participating in the Tokyo Olympics.

Yuvraj has seen further added, “With an objective to inspire and help prepare athletes for world sports, we need to support sportsmen and move towards a glorious future in sports, and initiative like this should be encouraged.”
