Veteran Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has always been known for his elegant shots while batting against any opposition. However, he hasn’t been often seen imitating any batsman, but recently, he attempted imitating his former teammate, MS Dhoni.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Mumbai Indians bought Yuvraj during the player auction new recruit Yuvraj Singh was spotted trying to pull off the helicopter shot during an MI net session. The helicopter shot is Dhoni’s signature shot. The former India skipper was the one to invent it, now it seems like every second batsman wants to have the shot in their repertoire.

Yuvraj is at the twilight of his career and after going unsold initially in the first round of the auctions, he was finally picked up by MI at his ₹1 Cr base price. It will be the southpaws first season at the franchise and he would like to make the most of it. The celebrated cricketer had a woeful 2018, where he amassed a mere 65 runs in 8 games at a paltry average hovering around 11 and an all-time low IPL career strike rate of 89. He would certainly look to improve on that.

Singh is not a part of the current Indian team, he would look to impress and knock on the doors of selection. But, by the looks of it, it seems he is not in the running for making it to the World Cup squad. On the other hand, Dhoni would be leading Chennai Super King’s title defense in the upcoming season of IPL.
