Yuzvendra Chahal, who was released by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), for whom he played since 2014 IPL till last year, was bought by the Rajasthan Royals (RR) franchise in the IPL 2022 Auction for INR 6.5 crores. On March 16, 2022, Yuzvendra Chahal apparently announced that he had the admin password for the RR Twitter account and decided to have some fun with it. First, the RR account tweeted a photo of Yuzvendra Chahal, with a message saying Meet new RR captain.

Even Sanju Samson, the real captain of the RR franchise congratulated Chahal, to which the RR account termed him ‘jealous’.

Then the official account of RR tweeted a photo of Yuzvendra Chahal batting and if the tweet got more than 1000 retweets, Chahal will open the batting with Jos Buttler in IPL 2022.

Apart from this, there were many other tweets as well, some of which are here:

On Tuesday, March 15, Rajasthan Royals (RR) unveiled their new jersey for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, which will be the 15th edition of the marquee T20 league. The franchise took to Twitter and shared a brilliantly made video of a motorbiker handing over a packet to skipper Sanju Samson and Yuzvendra Chahal and that’s how the jersey was revealed.
