There have been a plethora of videos young kids copying the bowling actions of veteran cricketers like Shane Warne, Wasim Akram, Jasprit Bumrah and others. But. the recent video of a 4-year-old girl from Balasore district, Odisha, is making the internet go crazy with her batting skills. Sudhruti is a huge fan of the former Indian skipper MS Dhoni and is nicknamed ‘Mahi’ by her parents, who are ardent cricket fans.

Sudhruti has very fast hands

Similar to Dhoni, the 4-year-old favors her bottom hand and tries to hit the ball as straight as possible. It is amazing to see a kid using the front foot in the best possible way and hitting the ball firmly. At times, she even attempts Dhoni’s trademark ‘helicopter shot’. The girl seems to be training on a terrace with nets installed at the batting end. Here is the video of her skills:

The video went viral to an extent that it caught the attention of English women cricketer Danielle Wyatt, as she admired her bat swing. Windies fast bowler Tino Best replied to the tweet as well. Most of the other cricket fans were seen applauding her fast hands, foot works, raw talent and even drew comparisons with Dhoni and Steve Smith.

Despite being in the twilight of his career, MS Dhoni is termed as the best wicketkeeper in the world cricket currently, who is expected to keep the wickets for India in the forthcoming ICC Cricket World Cup in England. However, he didn’t have a memorable 2018 with the bat but he stopped all the talks about his retirement with the commencement of 2019. So far, Dhoni has scored three half-centuries this year.

He scored a half-century in his first three ODIs that he played this year before scoring an unbeaten 48 in the first One-Day International against New Zealand. Hence he missed a golden opportunity to score four consecutive fifties. However, Dhoni missed two ODIs after that in New Zealand due to a hamstring injury.

His glovework was never in doubt as he produced some lightning-quick stumping in the past. He has been exceptional behind the wickets and turned several matches in India’s favor by just his excellent keeping skills. But before turning a wicketkeeper, Dhoni was a goalkeeper during his school days in Ranchi. Thus, his love for Football can be seen every now and then.
