The BCCI has issued SOPs for the state association according to which the players will be required to sign a consent form acknowledging the risks involved before resuming training at their respective centers amid the coronavirus pandemic. The SOPs will also be forcing the officials and individuals above 60 years of age from taking part in camps. According to its 100-page-long Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), the players will have to sign the form with the resumption of training amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Indian domestic season usually starts in August, but now it’s been curtailed due to the health crisis. Informing the same to the PTI, in its guidelines, BCCI wrote: “The health and safety of players, staff, and stakeholders will be the sole responsibility of respective State Cricket Associations.”

For reaching the training venue, the players will have to follow strict safety protocols. Before the commencement of the camp, the medical team will be verifying the medical history (past 2 weeks) of all players and staff through an online questionnaire.
