In the much-awaited Qualifier 2 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 Rajasthan Royals (RR) is locking horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 27 (Friday). Prasidh Krishna produced such a penultimate over as he scalped two crucial wickets of Dinesh Karthik and Wanindu Hasaranga on two consecutive deliveries.
After winning the toss, RR skipper, Sanju Samson decided to bowl first citing the unpredictability of a new pitch. As expected, both the teams made no changes to their respective playing XIs. RCB suffered an early blow as they lost the wicket of Virat Kohli early in the second over itself. This was followed by an important partnership between Rajat Patidar and Faf du Plessis.

However, Faf du Plessis went back dismissed for 25 from 27 balls, and then, Glenn Maxwell walked out to bat. Maxwell enjoys batting against spinners is a well-known fact and he did just that as he smashed boundaries in the over of Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal to the cleaners. But Glenn Maxwell’s cameo was cut short by some brilliance in the field. Eventually,
RCB only managed to post a total of 157/8 courtesy of a half-century from Rajat Patidar who scored 58 runs. They were going well at 146/5 with two overs to go and Dinesh Karthik was in the middle. Karthik was expected to take the team to a total of at least 160 but Prasidh Krishna prevented him from doing so.

Prasidh Krishna was bowling the penultimate over of the innings and he bowled a length delivery outside off to Karthik on the first ball. The batter tried to smash it over long-on but miscued it and Riyan Parag caught a sitter. Wanindu Hasaranga came out to bat on the next ball and Krishna nailed a perfect yorker to him shattering his stumps.

Here is how the fans reacted:
34/5 in the last 5! A late collapse has put RCB on the back foot here and they will have to bowl really well to defend this.
RR need to be at 25/0, 32/1, or 39/2 after the powerplay to stay ahead in the chase.#RR #RCB #RRvRCB #RCBvRR #MachineLearning #IPL2022 pic.twitter.com/SRuj0gkPAo
