Former Indian skipper, Virat Kohli has not been in the best of forms and a plethora of low scores in recent times have done him no good. The former India captain failed to perform as per the fans’ expectations in the recent tour to England, following which he skipped the away series against West Indies and Zimbabwe. He only managed to register scores of 33 runs in the two ODIs he was part of in England. The outcome was similar in Tests, where he amassed just 31 runs in two innings.

With the team gearing up for the Asia Cup, Virat Kohli will be returning to international cricket in the tournament and has also been grinding behind the scenes. Ahead of the tournament, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly shares an optimistic perception and stated that Kohli will find his lost mojo in the tournament and feels the former India captain will put his poor run of scores behind him.

During a recent chat with Sorts Tak, Sourav Ganguly said, “Let him practice, let him play matches. He is a big player and has scored plenty of runs. I am hopeful that he will make a comeback. He is just not able to score a century and I believe he will find his form in the Asia Cup.”

Kohli’s bat has been quiet for a long time, with his last century coming way back in 2019 in the historic pink-ball Test against Bangladesh at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The former skipper did manage to score half-centuries over the course of time but fans are eagerly waiting for Kohli to put up a big score and break his century drought.

More so, Kohli would also look to settle a personal score against Pakistan in the upcoming Asia Cup encounter in Dubai, which is the first since India’s humiliating loss at the T20 World Cup last year. Under Kohli, India suffered a 10-wicket drubbing and the star batter would be eager to even the odds.
