Ravindra Jadeja has revealed that he is yet to speak with MS Dhoni following his high-profile move from Chennai Super Kings to Rajasthan Royals ahead of IPL 2026. In a candid admission, Jadeja joked that Dhoni “keeps his phone off all the time,” which has delayed their much-anticipated conversation.

The all-rounder’s return to Rajasthan marked a full-circle moment in his IPL journey. Having begun his career with RR in 2008, Jadeja went on to become a cornerstone at CSK, spending over a decade with the franchise and playing a pivotal role in their title-winning campaigns in 2018, 2021, and 2023.
His transition back to Jaipur, however, hasn’t been without emotion. Facing CSK for the first time in RR colours felt unusual, Ravindra Jadeja admitted.

“It was a bit strange,” he said, reflecting on the experience of playing against a team that shaped much of his career. Despite the emotional undertone, Ravindra Jadeja delivered a strong performance, picking up 2/18 and dismissing Sarfaraz Khan and his former teammate Shivam Dube in a decisive spell.

While fans were eager for an on-field reunion between Jadeja and Dhoni, it wasn’t to be, with the CSK legend sidelined due to a calf injury. Jadeja also confirmed that he hasn’t spoken to other Chennai stalwarts like Suresh Raina since the move, though he hopes to reconnect soon.
“I haven’t spoken to Mahi bhai yet. But whenever I meet him, Raina bhai, or Anil Kumble, I’ll definitely catch up,” Ravindra Jadeja said during a broadcast interaction.
