In the now widely shared clip, Samson was seen arriving without any security entourage before joining a group of fans for an impromptu beach cricket session. The Kerala batter blended in effortlessly, laughing, chatting, and even batting left-handed to entertain the crowd. One particular big hit from Samson sparked huge cheers from the fans, who were thrilled to share the moment with the CSK star.

The video quickly went viral across social media platforms, with many praising Samson for his humble attitude and easy connection with fans. Unlike many superstar cricketers who remain distant during public appearances, Samson appeared completely relaxed and approachable throughout the interaction.

Speaking recently on the Super Kings podcast, Samson admitted that he had already begun feeling the love from Chennai supporters even before officially joining the franchise. He revealed that local fans had been urging him to join CSK long before the transfer became official.

“Whenever I came to Chennai, people would say, ‘Sanju, come to CSK.’ I could feel that love even during the trade rumours,” Sanju Samson said. The 31-year-old also explained how the passionate CSK fanbase has made him feel more responsible as a player.

“When you play for CSK, you don’t feel like making mistakes. You think twice before playing a risky shot because of the expectations and support from the fans,” he added.

Samson has backed up that emotional connection with exceptional performances on the field during IPL 2026. The CSK opener is currently the franchise’s leading run-scorer with 430 runs from 11 matches at an impressive average of 53.75 and a strike rate of 169.29.
