One of the finest pace bowling talents in world cricket, Pat Cummins’ career has been surrounded by injuries too often for him making an impact in the international arena. He rose through the ranks at a young age and took the world by storm with a sensational debut against South Africa 2011-12. Cummins ran through the Proteas batting line-up with an impressive six-wicket haul at New Wanderers — and scored the winning runs to level the two-match Test series.
Because of his frequent injuries, it remains Cummins’ only Test that year and even till now he has played just 14 Test matches in his career. He did manage a few more limited-overs outings including ODIs and T20Is but has struggled to maintain his fitness. Even he played a couple of seasons of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as well.
Cummins is a lanky right-arm fast bowler and at present, probably one of the fastest bowlers in the pool of cricketers. Hailing from New South Wales, he is a permanent fixture for Sydney Sixers in the Australian Big Bash League. He was acquired by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for IPL 2014.

If he manages to find a way to counter injuries, Cummins will definitely be a crucial cog of Australia’s future plan, even in the Ashes last year he bowled some brilliant spells.
In the IPL 2018 players’ auctions, Pat Cummins was bought for a whopping price of INR 5.4 cr by Mumbai Indians (MI).
The New Zealand fast bowler Adam Milne as a replacement for the injured Pat Cummins, who was ruled out of the ongoing edition of IPL and did not even arrived in India. Milne has been signed by the Mumbai Indians as a replacement for the injured Pat Cummins for the IPL 2018, who got ruled out of the tournament due to a back injury.
