In the recently concluded 11th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) Suresh Raina was one of the crucial cogs for the success of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The southpaw batsman has always scored 350 or more run in all the seasons of the OPL as he was also the mainstay for the CSK. In the field as well, Raina has been so agile that he helped 8his team to save crucial runs and also helped his picking up some wickets as well. 

Off-the-field, Raina in an Interview with The Sportstar during the inauguration of an Asics store talked about the various elements in the dressing room. Talking about the best entertainer in the team, the southpaw clearly said that it’s no other than Dwayne Bravo.

With his new song, ‘Run D World’, Bravo has not only hit the music charts but also made a lot of fans across the border. His quirky dance moves have also found a place in the hearts of the Super Kings’ fans. Further, Raina revealed that the all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is the most talkative person in the team. Jaddu had a memorable match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) where he knocked Virat Kohli cold on the back-foot with his straighter delivery.

According to Raina, there is no space for boring people in the dressing room and also said no one reads a lot in the dressing room. A shocking statement that the southpaw revealed was that everyone in the team is always with the earphones on at most times in the bus and in the airplane. Shane Watson had a tendency of coming late to the bus, or to any place where the team meets.

Raina says that Watson reaches the bus or the place only a minute or a couple of minutes before the expected time, unlike the other team members. Shane also likes to be on time at the right place, just like in the finals where his knock took the Super Kings home for the third time.

Englishman Sam Billings is the most notorious of the players in CSK, while Harbhajan is the person with most jokes. Best batsman in the dressing room, according to the left-hander is none other than teammate and skipper MS Dhoni.

The left-hander concludes the interview by saying that Sunrisers’ bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the most skillful bowler in the tournament despite the popular choice for the place would be Afghanistan’s, Rashid Khan.
