The former co-owner of the IPL franchise, Rajasthan Royals, Raj Kundra has been abruptly dropped for the Celebrity Clasico 201, which is charity football match between teams led by Virat Kohli and Abhishek Bachchan. The match is going to be held at the Andheri Sports Complex on Sunday.
In an exclusive interview with Mumbai Mirror, Raj Kundra said that he was not considered for the second edition of Celebrity Clasico. He said, “I got a call from GS Entertainment on Friday evening saying the BCCI will not allow cricketers to participate if I was involved in the event. I asked GS Entertainment to give such a thing in writing but they refused.”
In 2015, along with Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals got banned for 2 years from the cash-rich league as they found themselves entangled in corruption and match-fixing allegations.
