The IPL 2020 is over, and the cricketing pundits are now giving their opinions on related subject matters. In the same light, former Indian opener Aakash Chopra has picked the best possible XI of the tournament according to him and picked KL Rahul as its skipper. Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, and David Warner are some of the big names that have not made it to Chopra’s hypothetical list.

As per the norms, he formed his combination while keeping only four overseas players in his squad. His favorite pick was Orange Cap winner of the season, KL Rahul, who would lead the team as well. The wicket-keeping batsman showed some spectacular form while leading KXIP this season.

In the latest video on his Youtube channel, Aakash Chopra said, “I have kept KL Rahul at the top. He has the Orange Cap and is also an amazing player. It is not easy to score 670 runs in a season, especially when your team does not qualify, and you get to play only 14 matches. He is also going to keep wickets and be the captain of my team.”

The next in line is Shikhar Dhawan, who had amassed two back-to-back centuries to bolster the Delhi side impressed Chopra a lot. Next in line is Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav, who played some sheer class cricket this season to impress the entire cricket fraternity.

Talking about Yadav, Chopra said, “At No.4, I have Suryakumar Yadav. He has been very very good, consistent, and aggressive throughout the tournament. He played well against pace and spin, in difficult circumstances, and with his ability to finish matches and hitting in the powerplay as well.”

For no. 5, Aakash Chopra was confused between Marcus Stoinis or Nicholas Pooran. However, he eventually decided to go with Mr 360 AB de Villiers. De Villiers carried the responsibility of RCB single-handedly many times in IPL 2020. However, Aakash Chopra then went with all-rounder Rahul Tewatia at number 6.

Starting his bowling attack, SRH leggie Rashid Khan was his first choice. He began his pace section with Jofra Archer, followed by two other star pacers, Jasprit Bumrah and Kagiso Rabada.
