Many believed that the 2019 World Cup will help him to conclude his cricketing career after lifting the coveted trophy for South Africa.

Unfortunately, the visual of ABD lifting the World Cup will not be possible and he will only be seen plying his trade only in the overseas T20 leagues. However, Amul, one of the greatest milk products companies, has given a perfect tribute to De Villiers in the latest doodle in an attempt to try and urge him to make a comeback.

Amul is a top Indian Dairy company which prepares delicious milk products. They craft a different kind of doodles every now and then based on the trending topics in the country. This time they have depicted AB de Villiers leaving the field with a bat in his hand and a backpack carrying another bat. They have captioned the amazing cartoon as, “AB na jaao chhod ke…,”. It is a line from famous Bollywood song from the film Hum Dono which was released in 1961. The actual line, “Abhi na jaao chhodkar ke dil abhi bhara nahi,” has been amended by them by capitalizing AB.

This could’ve been one of the best tributes to one of the best cricketers of the modern day cricket whose decision to bid adieu to the sport he loves the most has not gone down well with his fans. They want him to see him back on the field in those ‘Green and Gold’ colors and mesmerize them with his 360 Degree strokes. Amul, in their doodle, has just tried to replicate the thoughts of De Villiers’ fans and has won many hearts as it is being loved by many.

While Ab de Villiers has decided to take retirement from the cricket at the highest level, he has stressed that he will be available for the Titans in domestic cricket and will also be playing in the overseas T20 leagues. This is a good news nevertheless for the Indian fans as he will continue to feature in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the upcoming seasons.
