Another piece of bad news has come for Team India in Asia Cup 2022. Avesh Khan, who is suffering from viral fever, has been ruled out of the tournament. He will be replaced by Deepak Chahar in the Indian squad. Chahar has been taken by the Indian team management to UAE as a reserve player. Deepak, who was out of the Indian team for six months due to injury, was given a chance on the tour of Zimbabwe.

Deepak Chahar was one of the crucial cogs in the Indian XI in T20Is before his injury but was denied direct entry into the Asia Cup squad as he lacked match practice after returning from injury. Talking about Avesh Khan, he conceded 53 runs in four overs in the match against Hong Kong.
