Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced 16-member Bangladesh cricket team squad for the three-match ODI series on the West Indies tour.
After completion of the two-match Test series on the Caribbean tour, starting from July 4, Bangladesh will play three-match ODI series and later they will play three more T20Is against the hosts West Indies. On Tuesday, BCB announced the 16-member squad for the ODI series that will be led by Mashrafe Mortaza.

Wicketkeeper Liton Das has made a comeback in the ODI squad while Imrul Kayes has been dropped out from the squad. Also, Abul Hasan, Mohammad Saifuddin, Mohammad Mithun and Sunzamul Islam are missing out the squad, apart from the injured Nasir Hossain, while Mosaddek Hossain, Nazmul Hossain, Nazmul Islam, Abu Hider and Abu Jayed replaced them.
Bangladeshi dependable young left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman has returned in the ODI squad after he was missing out the nation’s recent matches due to foot injuries.

It will be the first ODI encounter for Bangladesh after their home tri-series final against Sri Lanka at Dhaka on January 27, 2018, where Bangladesh had lost the game by 79 runs. After this upcoming ODI series in West Indies, Bangladesh’s next ODI assignment will be the 2018 Asia Cup that will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 18 to 30.
Previously, Bangladesh had played three-match bilateral ODI series against West Indies in West Indies during all the three times and those were in 2004, 2009 and 2014. Every time the series winner had the 3-0 margin while Bangladesh had won once the ODI series and that was in 2009.
