During the first match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings at Mumbai, Dwayne Bravo and Kedar Jadhav turned the tables for their team as Chennai won the match by 1 wicket. The result came as a surprise for many people as at one point in time Chennai Super Kings had been pushed out of the chase.

With just a couple of wickets in hand, Super Kings required 27 runs off the last two overs. The fact that Bravo and Jadhav scored the required amount of runs against Mumbai Indians’ two best bowlers in the slog overs in Jasprit Bumrah and Mustafizur Rahman speaks a lot about their effort.

On the first ball of the penultimate over, just as Bumrah missed his yorker, Bravo launched him for a six over long-off. Bumrah followed it up with a full-toss and Bravo did not miss the opportunity to hit the second ball for another six. The fans of Mumbai Indians must have gone for a hit as watching their best bowler going was runs in not the most pleasing sight.

On the fifth ball of the over, Bravo hit another Bumrah delivery for a huge six. Bravo failed to finish the match for his team as he handed an easy catch to Rohit Sharma on the last ball. He ended up scoring a match-winning 68 (30) with the help of three fours and seven sixes. Watch the video:

Bravo’s efforts made sure that Super Kings required seven runs to win off the last over. An injured Jadhav had taken the field. The suspense grew when he missed the first three balls of the over which was being bowled by Mustafizur Rahman. Jadhav seized the opportunity after hitting the fourth ball of the over for a six over the fine leg region. He scored another boundary through the off-side to seal the chase for Super Kings.
