The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) skipper, Kane Williamson was unable to play a good knock while chasing a huge target against the Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the MCA Stadium in Pune on Tuesday, March 29. Skipper Williamson and Abhishek Sharma opened the innings for SRH and Trent Boult opened the attack of Rajasthan Royals and he gave away just 2 runs in the over.
Prasidh Krishna was seen bowling the second over and he was able to send back Williamson for 2 runs off 7 balls. The pacer bowled a back of a length delivery around off and Williamson was only able to outside edge the ball that directly went towards the right-hand side of wicket-keeper Sanju Samson.

Samson dived to his right to grab a one-handed catch but the ball popped out of his hand and Devdutt Padikkal, who was at the first slip, dived forward to grab the catch. The third umpire checked the catch from all the angles and declared it out. However, fans on Twitter were furious at this decision as many felt it was not out.

Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and opted to field first in the match. RR openers batted brilliantly and they were able to reach the 58-run mark at the end of the powerplay. Also, Sanju Samson led the batting attack by example during the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The RR skipper scored runs at the rate of knots as he took the attack to the cleaners.
In the process, Sanju smashed sixes and fours at will. Samson who generally has a terrific record against Sunrisers Hyderabad continued his good run against the same franchise. Sanju Samson top-scored for Rajasthan Royals with a brilliant half-century. During his stay at the crease, he smashed a brilliant no-look six off Washington Sundar.

Samson chipped in with 55 off 27 balls with the help of 3 boundaries and 5 hits over the fence at a strike rate of 203.70. and it helped RR to past the 200-run mark in the ongoing season of the IPL. Eventually, Rajasthan Royals ended up scoring 210/6 in their allotted quota of 20 overs.
