The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 schedule has been unveiled, featuring an exciting opener between defending champions Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on February 23. The tournament is set to commence on February 23, with the grand finale scheduled for March 17 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
This year’s WPL will consist of 22 matches, all commencing at 7:30 pm, with the Eliminator scheduled for March 15. Unlike the home-away format, the tournament will be hosted in two cities, Delhi and Bengaluru, maintaining the competitive spirit witnessed in the previous season.

Following the same format as last year, the top three teams from the league stage will qualify for the playoffs. The table-toppers will secure a direct entry to the final, while the teams finishing second and third will face off in the Eliminator on March 15.

In the inaugural season of the WPL, Mumbai Indians, led by India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, clinched the championship by defeating Delhi Capitals by seven wickets.

DC captain Meg Lanning emerged as the top run-scorer of the tournament, accumulating 345 runs, while MI’s Hayley Mathews claimed the Purple Cap with 16 wickets in 10 matches. The upcoming season promises thrilling encounters as teams vie for supremacy in this elite women’s cricket competition.
